Blauwe Uur creates (audio)visual experiences. We like transforming spaces with video projections. We want to mesmerize and take the audience to poetic visual worlds. Our work takes place on various festivals and events, often outside and always site specific.
We’re a collective of three Dutch artists, experienced in light design, graphic design, motion graphics, scenography and music creation. We create (interactive) installations and performances with music. We work autonomously and have also worked together with various artists, such as De Staat, Remy van Kesteren, Ragazze Quartet, Kapok, Slagwerk Den Haag and Philharmonie Zuid.
Graduated as a theatre designer at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (HKU) Andrea Dröes mainly worked as a scenographer. In her designs she noticed the importance of light for a three-dimensional perception that made her decide to participate in a two-year coaching at the Institute of Lighting Design (iLo). A variety of theatre groups and festivals were her commissioners such as Holland Opera, Theater Bellevue, CamerOpera, Stella Den Haag, NTjong and Feikes Huis.
Jurjen Alkema is a light and projection artist that works for a broad range of projects in theatre, opera, (classical) music and museums.
